General Field Condition Information
Field conditions will be updated as
conditions require.
Mon-Fri the field conditions are determined by the Mill Valley Parks &
Recreation Department at approx. 2PM. Call 383-7818 for updates.
Check back here or call the following numbers for updates:
381-KICK (5425) or the Mill Valley Parks & Rec Hotline @ 383-7818.
The following factors are evaluated in
determining if the fields will be open:
*Amount of rain in past 24-36 hours.
*Condition of field prior to storm.
*Amount of standing water or puddles.
*Ability of particular fields to drain away standing water.
*Forecasted weather for day.
*Number of games scheduled on field for the day in question.

Field Condition Information
Daylight Saving
Time - With the time change on Oct 31, 2004 our new training schedule
will start on Monday Nov. 1, 2004 until the end of the season. Those teams
training from 3:30pm to 5pm will change to 3:30pm to 4:30pm, those training
from 5pm to 6:30pm will change to 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Please ask the coaches
to observe these times and respect the practice schedule of the other
coaches.
Rainouts - If you are unsure of whether or not the fields are open
please follow these instructions:
a) Practices - If you are practicing in Mill Valley please call the
Parks and Rec Field Line (383-7818), they update the phone line daily around
2 or 2:30pm. If you are practicing in Corte Madera you should call the Corte
Madera Fields Line (927-5076). I don't have a number for Sausalito, so for
those practicing there just call the MV Parks Field Line. If the Mill Valley
Fields are closed chances are that Sausalito and Corte Madera are as well.
The Mill Valley Kick Line will not have information on it concerning closure
of fields for practice.
b) Games - On Saturday or Sunday mornings if you suspect that the
fields maybe closed you should call the Mill Valley Kick Line (381-kick), it
will be updated by 8am on Saturday or Sunday mornings. It will encompass
information concerning all the fields we play on. If you play in Mill Valley
you may also call the Parks & Rec Field Line (383-7818), if you play in
Corte Madera you can call the Corte Madera Field line (927-5076). If you
play in Tiburon you should call the Tiburon Field Line (789-Tilt). Mill
Valley and Tiburon check the fields on Saturday and Sunday mornings
(along with yours truely) and they do update the lines generally by 8am. On
weekends Corte Madera leaves it up to us, unless it has been raining during
