Junior Skills Program
U8 through U12 Mill Valley Recreational Soccer Players
MVSC is pleased to invite you to participate in our first Junior Skills Program. The Program provides weekly professional training to young players in our recreational league who are looking for more opportunities to learn and play soccer! The Program is intended to supplement, not replace, recreational team practices this fall.
Program Description:
Training sessions will be approximately 1-hour and take place each Monday. Sessions will be structured with age-appropriate skill-based training (dribbling, passing, receiving, finishing, etc.) as well as lots of small-sided games. We will focus heavily on helping players master proper technique, while ensuring that each participant gets a ton of touches on the soccer ball.
Staff:
The Program will be run by one or more professional coaches from our Competitive Program.
Schedule:
Each Monday, beginning on September 11 and ending on October 23.
All sessions will be at Passive Field in Mill Valley (between Bayfront Park and the dog park).
U8s 3:30-4:25 U9s & U10s 4:30-5:25 U12s 5:30-6:25
This program is built around skills learned in these age groups and is currently not open to other ages. Let us know if you would like similar programs developed for U7 or U14-U16 players.
What to Bring:
Participants should bring a soccer ball, water bottle, and appropriate soccer attire.

*Please note: Due to field and staff limitations, enrollment will be capped. Please register early, as we will fill the program on a first-register, first-serve basis!

Recognizing the possibility of physical injury associated with soccer and in consideration of the MVSC accepting the registrant for its soccer program and activities, I hereby release, discharge and/or otherwise indemnify the MVSC, its affiliate organizations and sponsors, their employees and associated personnel, including the owners of the fields and facilities utilized for the programs, against any claim by or on behalf of the registrant as a result of the registrants participation in the programs. As the parent or legal guardian of the above named player, I hereby give my consent for emergency medical care prescribed by a duly licensed Doctor of Medicine or Dentistry. This care may be given under whatever conditions are necessary to preserve life, limb or well being of my dependent. |
