REGISTRATION FAQ

Team Formation and Notification

• “How will the draft work?” We will use a random draft with 1 coach representing each team. All players will be rated using 2007 player evaluations. Players without evaluations will be held aside and assigned to teams at the end of draft (Wildcards).  Draft order will be random. AG Commissioner will review final team formations to ensure, balance, fairness and other elements are fulfilled.

• “Do all age groups have a draft?” No, U6, U7,U8 & U9 do not draft, just U10 and higher age groups.

• “When will the draft be held?" Mid May with completion by late May

• “When will coaches be notified of draft day, time and location?”

  • First week of May by email from Age Group Commissioner

  • Check www.mvsc.org starting May 5^th for draft notification

• “Who can attend the draft?” Head coach only or asst coach if head coach is unavailable.

• “When will draft results and teams be announced?” First week of August at latest, coaches will notify parents and players of team formation. The Club will also post the teams on www.mvsc.org.

• “When will practice days and times be announced?” First week of August at latest via coaches and at www.msvc.org

Coaching

• Refer questions to Rick Fullerton or volunteer at Coach Signup table

• Coach and Asst Coach Volunteer request form. Complete and provide name of person that you intend to coach with.

• F-License Course signup – Mid to late August. Refer to “Club Calendar” section of www.mvsc.org

Referee

• “How do I get information on becoming a referee?” Refer questions to Rodi Broullion at Referee table.

• Referee certification course signup at Referee table. Refer to “Club Calendar” and “Ask Willie” section of www.mvsc.org

Registration Fees

• “Does the club offer a sibling discount?” Discount on fees for 3 or more players per family is $15 off PER player.

SoccerFest:

• Volunteer opportunities? – Soccerfest – Labor Day 2008 (9/1/08). Get more information and sign-up to volunteer at the Soccerfest table.

Season

• Start – first week of September

• End – mid-November with Jamboree and tournaments for U10 and higher.
