Competitive Striker Clinic

MVSC's Fall Competitive Stiker Program is open to all players on MVSC Competitive Teams.  The program is designed to provide participants with a fun, developmental training opportunity as a supplement to team training during the fall season.  Our program's emphasis is on the technical and tactical components of striking the ball and finishing on goal.  Players will benefit from high repetitions creating shots and finishing in a variety of goal scoring situations (e.g., crosses, breakaways, combination play, 1 v 1 to goal, 2 v 1 to goal, etc.).  All players -- regardless of the positions they may play in games -- will benefit from improving their ball-striking technique, and from developing an attacking mentality.  This program has been incredibly popular with our competitive player pool each of the past 14 years.  We look forward to another exciting season!

The Competitive Striker Program will begin on September 6.  The final training session will take place on October 25.

All sessions take place on Fridays at Alto Field.

  • GIRLS (boys are welcome):  3:30 - 5:00
  • BOYS (girls are welcome):  5:00 - 6:30
If scheduling needs require you to register your child for the other gender's session, please register for the session you were invited to, and then send a note to requesting a move into the preferred time.

In the event of inclement weather, please check MVSC's home page after 2:30pm on the day of training to find out if the field is open.  We will add make-up sessions at the end of the program for any sessions canceled due to field closure.
