Premier Rec Goalkeeper Program

MVSC is pleased to announce our 2023 Fall Goalkeeper Training Program for Premier Rec players.  Clinics will help goalkeepers build a solid foundation by teaching the basics of goalkeeping. Topics covered will include shot stopping, catching, aerial duels (air balls), distribution, footwork, and positioning. Each session will conclude with finishing on the goal in a game-like situation, while incorporating communication, positioning and technique.  

All sessions held at Friends Field South, September 6 - October 26

  • Session 1:  Wednesdays, 5:00-6:00pm - This session is for 2nd and 3rd Grade Premier Rec Goalkeepers.
     
  • Session 2:  Thursdays, 3:30-4:30pm - This session is for 2nd and 3rd Grade Premier Rec Goalkeepers.
     
  • Session 3:  Thursdays, 4:30-5:30pm - This session is for 4th-6th Grade Premier Rec Goalkeepers
     
  • Session 4:  Thursdays, 5:30-6:45pm - This session is for 7th Grade and older Premier Rec Goalkeepers.

In the event of inclement weather, please check MVSC's home page after 2:45pm on the day of training to find out if the session is canceled.  In the event of cancelation, a make-up session will be added at the end of the program.

COST:   Cost for one session (8 weeks) is $100 per player.

$20 Administrative fee for all refunds.

REGISTRATION for all Clinics:

Space is limited to participate in our fall GK program.  If we hit our enrollment caps, additional players will be placed on a waitlist.

Daily Drop-ins are not permitted.

PROFESSIONAL GOALKEEPING TRAINER:

MVSC is thrilled to have Kellis Johnson back as our Professional Goalkeeper Trainer.  Kellis played goalkeeper for Marin Catholic High School (where she broke several goalkeeper records she still holds today), and later played at the University of Colorado Boulder Division 1 Women's program.  Kellis has coached and trained youth and college goalkeepers for the past 15 years.  She is currently on her 6th year as the Assistant/Goalkeeper Coach at Dominican University. She is in her 3rd year as the Varsity Women's Soccer Coach Marin Catholic High School. She has coached in every program at MVSC over the last 8 years and has a vast knowledge of every level offered at MVSC. She holds USSF C, D and E licenses and the NSCAA Goalkeeper Diploma.
