Only players who played on MVSC's fall Premier Rec or fall Competitive teams can register during this window.

Registration will open for all other interested soccer players at 8am on Friday, November 3.

*Any player who is registered with a Competitive Team in a non-MVSC NorCal Premier club must obtain written permission to participate in our program from their club's Director of Coaching and e-mail that permission to fullertonsoccer@yahoo.com prior to registering with our program.

Why Futsal?

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced sport that has skill development designed right into the game.  A player can't help but improve their passing, shooting, dribbling, defending, and overall team skills.  Just a few of the benefits:

  • High volume technical repetitions/time on the ball
  • Fast playing surface creates a high speed of play
  • Heavy ball designed for less bounce encourages passing, dribbling and close control
  • Small space and small-sided format creates constant engagement in play

In short, futsal is an excellent opportunity for all players to improve their ball skills, in a fun, fast-paced game.

What Do the Best Players in the World Say About Futsal?

Many of the top world class soccer players played futsal in their youth and credit it with supporting their development.

"For me, futsal is one of my passions. I always loved to play futsal. It helps a lot because you need to think quickly. It's a more dynamic game." --- Neymar Jr.

"My technique comes from futsal, it's so much fun and impossible not to improve." ---Marta

"When I was a young boy I played futsal in the streets and in the club. It was great fun and helped me to become the player I am today." --- Lionel Messi

"Perhaps in regular football you cannot appreciate the talent. Everything is more physical. But in futsal, you have small details of quality, class, and tactical aspects."--- Xavi

"Futsal was important in helping develop my ball control, quick thinking and passing. I developed my skills playing futsal in my hometown in Bauru." --- Pele
