MVSC is pleased to announce our 22nd annual Spring Academy soccer program. The Spring Academy is open to all MVSC competitive players and to K through 8th grade recreational players. Our program will provide participants with a fun, developmental training opportunity during the spring season. Our Academy training program is also an excellent means for players to improve their soccer abilities in conjunction with their participation in other spring sports.
Our Professional Coaching Staff will implement a strong, established soccer curriculum that emphasizes:
Players will be grouped by gender*, age, and level of play in order to ensure an appropriate curriculum and level of challenge for all participants.
We are offering Goalkeeper sessions with Pro Coach Kellis Johnson.
We are also offering special 1 hour technical sessions on Fridays for competitive players dedicated to working on individual ball skills and mechanics.
Participation in our Spring Academy is not required to try out for MVSC's fall competitive teams. However, spring participation will facilitate the skill development and disciplined training habits necessary to enjoy success in the competitive program.
*For sessions referred to as "Coed," participants will be grouped by gender whenever numbers permit.
Any player who is registered with a competitive team in a non-MVSC club must obtain written permission from their club's Director of Coaching and email that permission to rfullerton@mvsc.org prior to registering with our program.
In the event of rainfall, please check www.mvsc.org after 2:30pm on the day of training to see if the field is open. Make-up sessions will be added at the end of the program for sessions canceled due to field closures.
