Weekday Indoor Futsal

MVSC Winter Indoor Soccer is back!

MVSC is excited to bring back our second season of indoor soccer for all interested MVSC players!  We will be offering two weekday programs this winter:

Weekday Program 1: November 26 - December 20, 2018

MVSC's WEEKDAY Futsal Programs will consist of professionally coached weekday sessions that include technical and tactical training, with much of the sessions spent playing futsal games.  Goalkeeper sessions available in Program 1. Players will be grouped by gender, age and ability at each session.

 Why Futsal?

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced sport that has skill development designed right into the game.  A player can't help but improve their passing, shooting, dribbling, defending, and overall team skills.  Just a few of the benefits:

  • 5v5 format allows more time on the ball
  • Fast pace, more shots and more time in transition
  • Heavy ball designed for less bounce encourages passing, dribbling and close control
  • Players must keep the ball within the lines, as in outdoor soccer

Futsal is a wonderful opportunity for all players to improve their ball skills, in a fun, fast-paced game.

What Do the Best Players in the World Say About Futsal?

Many of the top world class soccer players played futsal in their youth and credit it with supporting their development.

"For me, futsal is one of my passions. I always loved to play futsal. It helps a lot because you need to think quickly. It's a more dynamic game." --- Neymar Jr.

"My technique comes from futsal, it's so much fun and impossible not to improve". ---Marta

"When I was a young boy I played futsal in the streets and in the club. It was great fun and helped me to become the player I am today." --- Lionel Messi

"Perhaps in regular football you cannot appreciate the talent. Everything is more physical. But in futsal, you have small details of quality, class, and tactical aspects."--- Xavi

"Futsal was important in helping develop my ball control, quick thinking and passing. I developed my skills playing futsal in my hometown in Bauru." --- Pele
